It’s Soup Time!

soup7 KB

It’s the time of year when Canadians head indoors, and take to their kitchens to make delicious, comforting foods to get us through the harsh damp and cold of the next six months. We don our coziest clothes, put on an apron for good measure and pour through our favourite recipes to determine which will be the chosen comfort food of the day.

Well we love our old favourites as much as the next Canadian, but we also love to try an exciting new recipe as well. You never know which will be your family’s next favourite. In honour of comfort food season, we asked our six blogging friends to each dream up a hearty new soup recipe for us to share with you.

The sumptuous soup choices are:

Turkey-Soup-blue CC

A delectable Smoky Turkey, Bean and Spinach Soup from The Messy Baker herself, Charmian Christie. Charmian is a new cookbook author, and an incredibly talented food blogger from Guelph, Ontario. You can see her amazing recipes on her blog, The Messy Baker.

Next up is from one of our Turkey Champions, Michelle Peters-Jones of The Tiffin Box. Michelle always brings us unexpected temptations and her Turkey Tom Yum Soup is no exception.
